Snails with groats (oatmeal)

Equipment

  • 2 deep pots
  • 2 basins
  • 1 cutting surface green
  • 1 vegetable cutting knife
  • 1 strainer
  • 1 grater

Ingredients

  • 2 kg nails
  • ½ cup groats
  • 2 chopped onions
  • 1 clove of garlic, finely chopped
  • 3-4 chopped green onions
  • 3 fresh grated tomatoes
  • Chopped mint
  • Finely chopped dill
  • Chopped parsley
  • olive oil
  • salt

Instructions

  • Place the snails in a saucepan and fill it with water.
  • Close the lid tightly and put salt around it, so that the snails do not come out.
  • When they come out of their shell, turn on the stove over low heat and let them boil for about half an hour.
  • Strain and wash very well.
  • In a deep pan put the oatmeal and add boiling water until it is covered.
  • Leave it for 15-20 ́ to inflate and soften. Squeeze it with your hands andit is ready to use.
  • In another pot, pour the oil, the onion, the garlic, and the spring onions and fry them altogether.
  • Add water, snails and all other ingredients except spices.9. Let simmer for 25-30 ́.10. Add the spices and let it boil for a while longer.
